The Road to a Million Miles Starts Here
Get your kicks ready, as we’re back on the journey to a million miles with part one of the 2026 Bafasports Caribbean Million Mile Challenge already well underway.Â
The challenge returns with a brand-new Puzzle Medal Sphere, and a year of adventure waiting to be explored.
Walkers, runners, and hikers from across the region are invited to take on a year-long fitness journey while soaking up the Caribbean’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Let’s talk about the first leg
Running can become monotonous particularly for the average bloke just trying to stay in shape going down the well-trodden path.
This time we’re offering something different as you get to choose where and when the run happens, which is a perfect opportunity to get creative with some breathtaking locale.
Part one of the campaign, which runs for the next four months, encourages participants to accumulate 100 kilometres or 62 miles over multiple activities, whether through daily walks, training runs, races or hiking adventures.
Runners who complete the challenge will earn the first piece of Bafasports’ inaugural three-piece Puzzle Medal Sphere, a collectible medal series inspired by the Caribbean’s wildlife, flora, landmarks, traditions and diverse landscapes.

What’s in store when you complete part one…
First off, we’re talking about a fresh three-piece finisher’s medal. Runners will win each piece after each stage, and it forms part of a larger spherical keepsake, which will complete the full design.
Consistency, not speed, is the name of the game, which means that everybody wins in the long run as by the time you’re halfway there, your engine should be properly turbo charged.
So go ahead and complete the distance at your own pace over the course of the year.
“Every mile counts” is the message behind the initiative, with eligible walks, runs, hikes and races all contributing towards the 100-kilometre target.
Registration also includes a Bafasports MVP membership, giving participants access to exclusive member benefits and the opportunity to earn MVP Miles whenever they register for eligible Bafasports races and challenges.

Get your Strava ready…
There are a number of apps that you can use, including Strava among others, to get the ball rolling, so strap your fitness watches on, make sure the GPS is on point, and plan your routes whether it’s the classic roadside trek, or something more tasty like the famous satellite dish hike.
Steal a few kms in your down time, or assemble your crew and make it a true pilgrimage. The choice is yours, just make sure to stay safe on the roads on the journey to 100.

The bigger picture
The Caribbean Million Mile Challenge forms part of Bafasports’ continued mission to promote active lifestyles while encouraging participants to explore their communities and the wider Caribbean through movement.
Whether taking a leisurely evening walk, preparing for a marathon, tackling a mountain trail or participating in organised races, participants can log their progress throughout the campaign and work towards completing the first chapter of the Puzzle Medal Sphere collection.
Registration for the Caribbean Million Mile Challenge is now open through the our platform.
