Lace up your shoes and take on the distance in honor of Manny L. Ramjohn (1915-1998), Trinidad and Tobago’s first true athletics trailblazer. Ramjohn made history 79 years ago by winning the nation’s first gold medal at a major international event (the 1946 CAC Games) and was a member of T&T’s first-ever Olympic team in 1948. He was awarded the Humming Bird Medal (Silver) by the government of Trinidad and Tobago in 1982 for his contributions to Social Work and Sport.
