Our administrative team partnered with the Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation (TTHF) to host the Heart and Sole 5K 2025, held on December 7 at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
Following in the footsteps of last weekend’s Starbucks Coffee Run, the event featured a similar scenic route around the Savannah and St Clair but with the significant addition of a 1K cross country race for kids twelve and under.

Waldron at the double!
“So nice they had to do it twice” – Tafari Waldron went out of his way to live up to that sentiment as he followed up Coffee Run win last week with another commanding performance, stopping the clock at 15:54. Darius Harding, once again claiming second place, finished in 16:29, while Kerron Ali completed the podium in 16:56.
In the women’s division, Yusuf Roohil led the pack with a time of 22:50, followed by Jamilla Sandy in 25:54 and Kasheanne Francis in 26:06.
The event’s success was made possible through the generous contributions of our partners: Subway, Bermudez, Pharmaco, Powerade, Trinebox, Optometrists Today, Xtra Foods, Brunswick, Dasani, Massy Foundation, Good N’ Natural, and JTA Supermarket.
The Heart and Sole 5K is the vision of the TTHF and was attended by Minister of Health Dr Lackram Bodoe, underscoring national support for heart health and community wellness.
Next on the menu
Up next on our calendar is the Manny Ramjohn 5K and SATT 6K 2025, taking place this Sunday, along with the ongoing Million Mile Challenge, which encourages citizens nationwide to collectively log one million miles in the name of health and community spirit.
With each event, we reaffirm our mission to empower communities, promote wellness, and inspire positive change—one stride at a time.
