StudentsUnited Virtual Race 2021
StudentsUnited is a collaboration amongst many different secondary schools – private, denominational and government. Our target group is the secondary school student, but this event is open to all! We have even included a 20K distance (and training schedule) for the avid runners out there!
This idea was initiated by staff members who found it increasingly difficult to keep students motivated with the online learning. Students are less engaged, less interested and their mental health is at risk. In an effort to promote a balanced lifestyle for our students, we hope the event will help motivate everyone to get outside and get active. The collaboration amongst many schools is to encourage participation amongst families, neighbors and friends no matter what school they attend.
From April 1 we will post training schedules that have been sponsored by the top road running groups of Trinidad, and we will also post google maps of flat and safe training locations. Through the support of our sponsors we will have several give away items strictly for secondary school students, and so make sure to select your school on the registration form.
Once you have completed the event you will receive your StudentsUnited 2021 participation medal along with some surprises that we will reveal throughout the next few months. Participation packages will be available for pick up after June 20th. Welcome to StudentsUnited 2021 Virtual Race! Happy running!

This school led initiative, which grew out of the challenges faced by students coming out of a period of confinement, is also reflected in our medal design; violet and green shapes representing gears within a head, centered within a gear. Gears enable mobility in unity, and mobility further unites mind with body. Violet is a colour of self awareness and green unites the heart with nature. Our medal is a symbol of connection and balance between physical and mental wellness through fitness.
