The Down Syndrome Family Network

In 1995 the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) based in the USA; established the first Buddy Walk to promote acceptance, awareness and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome. This year the Buddy Walk celebrates its 25th year with over 250 walks held in the USA and internationally. The Buddy Walk has not only become the premier advocacy event for Down Syndrome, but also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down Syndrome community. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event takes a virtual format in 2020.

What are the prizes I can win?

Where to run/walk?

Literally Anywhere! Savannah, Lady Chancellor, in your neighborhood, Just do it safely.

What distance to run/walk?

Buddy Walk – You must walk at least 1 kilometre (Free for persons with Down Syndrome)

Buddy Run – You must walk or run at lest 5 Kilometres (Free for persons with Down Syndrome)

When?

Anytime before the extended deadline of November 30th, 2020. (Late sign ups will be given additional time to complete in December)

How do I collect my medal?

There are collection locations available in North, South, East, Central and Tobago.

How do I track my run?

When you sign up, we will provide you with an easy to install app that will track the distance with your smartphone.

Team Registration

Registering a crew, school or large team/family (5 participants and up)? No problem! Email their full name, sex, date of birth, email address and contact number to races@bafasports.com and we will send you a direct payment link. QUICK & EASY!
